Disorderly TeaHouse Slushie

left image

This simple slushie recipe will turn a run-of-the-mill afternoon into a bonified party. With Lagunitas’ spiked and sparkling Disorderly TeaHouse and a few other ingredients ya probably have layin’ around the kitchen, you’ll have the ideal warm day libation in your glass.

Disorderly TeaHouse Slushie

Slushie-makin’ Shtuff

1 cup H2O

1 cup sugar

2/3 cup lemon juice

420 ml Yuzu Lemon Squeeze Disorderly TeaHouse or Mixed-Up Berries Disorderly TeaHouse

Lemon slices or berries for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Combine H2O and sugar in a diminutive pot and bring to an easy simmer to dissolve the sugar. To all you overachievers, a simmer is more than enough to make this happen, so don’t go chasing rolling boils.
  2. Pour your simple syrup into a shallow tray to cool.
  3. Once cooled, add 2/3 cup lemon juice and 420 ml your choice of Lagunitas Disorderly TeaHouse to the syrup, stir evenly to incorporate the mixture, then freeze for four hours (or overnight).
  4. Once the mixture is frozen solid, take a fork and scrape the frozen mixture to create a luscious pile of shaved ice.
  5. There are two ways to serve your shaved ice: add to a chilled glass and eat your shaved ice with a spoon or pour some more Disorderly TeaHouse over the top of the shaved ice for a slurp-able slushie.
