WHAT’S UP WITH THE CHICAGO TAPROOM?

We were lucky enough to build our Chicago production facility from the ground up and, at the time, it was a dream-come-true to put our TapRoom right smack-dab in the middle of the building.

Then COVID hit, and the ‘TapRoom in the middle of the production facility’ thing really didn’t work. As it has always been, the health of our employees is our number one priority, which is why we had to prevent unnecessary exposure to danger during the pandemic and press pause on our Chicago TapRoom.

Big emphasis on ‘pause’, though… While we can’t give a hard reopening date, we’re working every day (like, actually) to get our TapRoom doors open and ensure the safety of our guests and our Chicago Lagunators.

We’ll be posting updates in the coming months, so keep your eyes on our social pages for the news. And, like everyone in our industry, we’re doing our best to navigate the national staffing shortage waters. Meet the Brewer

Arantxa Garcia Barros

 Arantxa Garcia Barros joined The Lagunitas Brewing Company as the Chicago brewing manager in 2021. Arantxa was born in Mexico with a biotechnology engineering background and gained industry experience as the production supervisor at the large-scale distilleries and breweries while in Mexico.
